8th of December: Work

Twenty personal accounts of the world of work (a very early precursor to all those television shows that seem to be obsessed with people’s occupations). One begins like this: “The salesman serves as a Janus-faced stereotype, for he is seen as both the victim and the hired assassin of the capitalist ethos”. Excellent.
