Another wonderful cover from Pelican. Despite coming in at a comprehensive 288 pages, the main thrust (ahem) of this book is that marriage is the only ‘correct’ type of relationship. In some places the language is horrifying blunt: “If one ponders the psychology of prostitutes and of the men who frequent them, one may come to think that God, of Providence, or whoever may be responsible for this sort of thing has created this type of defective woman for the express purpose of being a match for the three types of defective men.” (Incidentally the three ‘types of defective men’ are adolescents, neurotics and immature men). Behind the restrained cover of this book lie some very interesting views!
