This month we’re reading Dubliners by James Joyce a collection of short stories by the famous Irish author. Unlike Joyce’s later work which is difficult at best, Dubliners is much more accessible and has the key theme of Irish identity. Unusually for us Dubliners is also the current Book at Bedtime on Radio 4 so if you don’t fancy reading it you can listen here (although you have to be quick as these things tend to disappear into the BBC abyss after a while).
We’ll be meeting at 7.30pm on the 26th of March. Tea and coffee will be provided but you fancy something a little stronger please bring your own.
We don’t require any commitment so if you don’t fancy this book or you’re not available this month you can always come next time.
Questions and suggestions for our next book are always welcome.
