This month we’ll be discussing Tamara Drewe by Posy Simmonds on Thursday the 26th of June. Tamara Drewe is an updating of Hardy’s Far From the Madding Crowd. Tamara, despite leaving to become a glamorous journalist, returns to the village she grew up in with dramatic results. It is sharp and hilarious satire on modern village life.
We’ll be meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday the 26th of June. Tea and coffee will be provided but you fancy something a little stronger please bring your own.
We don’t require any commitment so if you don’t fancy this book or you’re not available this month you can always come next time.
Questions and suggestions for our next book are always welcome.
